My First Meme

Rookie alert!

Ok. I don’t know how memes work. Hell, I even thought at first that it’s pronounced as me-me or mey-mey). Anyway, I saw this one from Pepper and it caught my interest. Needless to say, I asked her permission to copy it as a personal reference, and she said yes, and that I can post it so she can see what I have written in bold. So I’m posting it below. I don’t know if she has tagged me (what’s a tag anyway? How do you know if you’ve been tagged?), but it’s been fun to do. So here it is. Thanks, Pepper. Don't worry, I'm no elf-killer

Just wanted to drop in and say hello.

Have a Happy New Year!

So... what color did you dye your hair?

Funny how superficial so many of the items on the list are, particularly when compared to #96 (humble Wizard's opinion): "Oh, yeah, I raised some kids once; but WOW! DO YOU KNOW I HAVE TOUCHED A COCKROACH!?!" ;)

May next year be the one you #2, #14, #30, and perhaps #150 - but not #106 or #142. Happy New Year, Russkal!

Any more memes and the committee will reevaluate your trophy...

You don't want to wind up with a reindeer head in your bed, do you?

Russkal, I just read your post over at Sign's and I wanted to pop in and tell you, that was a cool thing to say, dude. Very cool.

Very interesting list...made me sit back for a moment and think of the things that I have done over the years...good AND bad. #142 is what I am doing now...yes, it's tough.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane and Happy New Year

thank you for coming by my site and for all your kind and supportive comments.

Whim,

Happy New Year to you too!

Wiz,

I dyed my hair brown then, but it was just highlights so they have to bleach my some strands. If I can muster enough courage though, I'd love to dye my hair electric blue.

You were right about the cockroach. It was pretty absurd to be on the list.

Thanks for wishing me well on achieving some of the worthy accomplishments on the list. Happy New Year to you too!

Dirk,

Nooohh!!! Please don't rob me off the trophy, Don Vito. I don't ever wanna see a reindeer head on my bed. Ever.

Crabcake,

Thank you. I only said what I felt like saying. Just reaching out. I hope Mr. Sign's operation went well though. I'll check on him soon.

Jillie,

Yup, no. 142 should be really tough on anybody. I wish you well on going through this phase.

You are welcome and thanks for dropping by. Happy New Year!

Meander,

That's what I said when I first saw it on Pepper's. Luckily, she gave me a go signal to do my own.

You are welcome, dear. I wish you a wonderful New Year.

How do you pronounce meme? It seems everyone has been hospitalized one time or another. No hospital food is not food.

Great meme. It is a great why to get to know someone.

Poor Dirk he doesn't know what he is missing.

lots and lots on the meme to read...wow! This is gonna take a while for me...
Have a Happy New Year!

Hoping that you like me too!

Thank you for sharing your life with us. Hau'oli Makahiki Hou, my friend! May 2007 bring happiness and blessings.

Pepper,

I pronounce it as "Meem", only after I checked it on Wikipedia :p

Thanks for the "Meem" again.

Ranting,

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read the long list.

Happy New Year to you too!

Skeet,

Would you believe I haven't seen "The Sound of Music" yet? Oh wait, that song's from "King & I!" Well, I haven't seen that one too, so maybe I'll include those two on my list.

Mahalo!

How in the heck did you build your own PC from parts? WOW!!

It seems you have achieved more than I can say for myself. There is still a lot of living to do, hopefully I can get it done!!

Thanks for sharing!

Happy New Year to you and yours!

Oh my young rookie friend...

Had you "carefully" examined all the paths at my blog you would have already encountered my family, including my faithful canine companions.

Alas, you have encountered a stumbling "block" and failed to garner truth when you fell right over it.

When you can snatch the pebble from my blog, Grasshopper, then you will be worthy.

Buddha Dirk has spoken...

Cinders,

It's quite easy, actually. I usually assemble my PCs so I can pick up parts on my own specification.

As for the list, no rush. While it's good to seize the day, sometimes it's also better to stop and smell the flowers. Waddya know, that's two cliches in one!

Happy New Year!

Dirk,

Easy there, Buddha Dirk. I actually have seen you and your folks (including your canines) way before you posted that photo.

That's right.I guess I just stumbled upon a "writer's block" that I have forgotten about your canines. My bad.

But oh yeah, I'm worthy.
